Sturdiness was extremely important to me when I was choosing a tripod, so I was very pleased to see that this Sunpak tripod locks into place and doesn't budge a bit. It really is as simple as putting the tripod where you want it, putting your camera or camcorder on top, and that's it. You absolutely never have to worry about any type of shake.
Another important thing for me when I was looking for tripods was that the one I got was quick to adjust for when I needed to shoot something as quickly as possible. That is another thing that Sunpak got down perfectly because it only takes a second or two to adjust it to different heights and angles. This, along with the fact that it is so sturdy, makes it about as perfect as I had hoped.
The only thing that this tripod lacks is the ability to hold some of the higher end SLR cameras out there today. I knew this when I bought it off of Amazon.com, but it would have made this otherwise awesome tripod even better if it was compatible with more cameras. All that really means, though, is that you need to make sure that your camera will work with it.
You probably will not find a nicer or smoother working tripod on the market today, so it is quite easy for me to recommend it to anyone with a camera or camcorder. That is not something that I am able to say about a lot of the camera accessories that I have bought in recent years, so yes, I do think that this is a special product that is a must buy.
